Rowley as Provost, Dean & Vice President for Academic Affairs, and JoAnne Williams as Vice President for Finance & Administration; unveils an official portrait of Edmund Gordon, 98-year-old professor emeritus; celebrates the 15ᵗʰ anniversary of its Eisenhower Leadership Development Program with the U.S. Military Academy at West Point; hosts its inaugural Uceda Lecture on Women’s Empowerment; and announces a broad agenda for “Excellence for All,” aimed at enhancing its ability to contribute significantly to building a better world.
Research
Research conducted at Teachers College sheds new light on successful national systems of early childhood education and care; improving voucher programs to move families to “higher-opportunity” neighborhoods; promoting deeper noticing in science education; services for youth who have been exposed to gun violence; the myth of “saving the Third World”; the ability of public schools to feed students freshly prepared food; and much more.
