Media Services and Video *

Media Services is responsible for the maintenance, operation and set-up of the audio-visual and computer systems installed in 54 classrooms and 3 major lecture halls.

We provide the technical staffing for:

• Classroom Technology
• Video Conferencing
• Event Support

The preferred method to request our services is the Media Manager Request Form, or you can call x3822 or email mediaservices@t.columbia.edu.

You are encouraged to make your requests well ahead of time to ensure availability; note that videoconferencing requests or technical support for special events require a minimum of one week's notice.

If you plan to use anything besides an overhead projector or a screen (available in every class room), you should inform Media Services of your technology plans and needs so that they can ensure that the equipment is available and properly prepared.

Equipment reserved at least 24 hours in advance will be delivered and picked up by our staff except for laptops, analog audiocassette players/recorders, digital voice recorders, boom boxes, webcams, portable PA systems and digital cameras, which should always be picked up and returned by the users.
