The Office of the Bursar is implementing a change to the institution’s accepted payments policy. Similar to most other colleges and universities in New York, effective December 1, 2010, Teachers College will no longer accept credit card payments towards tuition and fees due to the high cost of processing these credit card payments. Teachers College will continue to accept the following forms of payments:

Personal Checks, Cashier Checks, Traveler’s Checks or Money Orders: Must be made payable to Teachers College. These payments can be submitted in person, placed in the drop box, or mailed to the Office of Student Accounts: 525 West 120th Street, Box 305, New York, NY 10027. The drop off payment box is located at the door of the Office of the Bursar, Thompson Hall Room # 133. Do not place cash in this box. Please write your student identification number on the face of the check or money order.

Online Free Checking or Savings Account Payments: You can directly debit your checking or savings account. Online payments can be made by accessing the myTC Portal at: http://my.tc.edu.

Wire Transfers: Teachers College accepts wire transfers of funds from your banking institution, at no cost, for payment of tuition and fees. The form is available on the Student Accounts website at:http://www.tc.columbia.edu/i/a/document/wire_instr.pdf.

Note: Your bank may charge you a fee for wire transfers.

Online Deferred Payment Plan: A zero interest deferred payment plan is available to pay your account in three installments over the course of the semester. There is a $50 fee to participate. If you choose to participate in the deferred payment plan, log on to the CASHNet site via the myTC Portal and sign an electronic agreement with the Office of the Bursar.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact The Office of Student Accounts at (212) 678-3056 or via email at bursar@tc.edu. For more information, visit our website at http://www.tc.edu/bursar.
