Welcome to the Peace Corps Fellows Program at Teachers College at Teachers College, Columbia University! Since 1985, we have supported the Jaffe Fellows, Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, as they become New York City public school teachers in high needs schools teaching English, science, mathematics, teaching English as a second language, social studies as well as elementary, special and bilingual/ bicultural education while earning their master's degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University.

The Peace Corps Fellows Program at Teachers College is highly regarded. After seeing the Peace Corps Fellows’ strong commitment to social justice in urban education, Caroline Kennedy wrote an article about the Fellows in Time Magazine.

The Peace Corps Fellows Program is a branch of the Office of Teachers Education at Teachers College.

TC offers a wide range of state approved teacher education programs leading to initial or professional teacher certification, and school/district administrator certification in NY State. Learn more about the Office of Teachers Education.
