Biographical Information

Professor Gotterbarn has over 25 years experience working in both the public school and clinical settings. Clinically, she trained with Dr. Albert Ellis and has spent her career treating children and adolescents with internalizing disorders using cognitive and behavior therapy. She also has extensive experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations, child custody evaluations, and transitional assessments and planning for students with disabilities. Her school psychology experience includes working at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as serving as the CSE Chairperson working with the educational team to develop educational plans and providing services for significantly disabled children with learning and emotional disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities, and multiple disabilities. Scholarly interests include empirically supported treatments for childhood disorders, cognitive behavior therapy, and the effective delivery of school mental health services.
