Welcome

The Association of Latin American Students (ALAS) is a student organization located in Teachers College, Columbia University, in New York City. As an organization that aims at creating academic, cultural, and social networks within the Latin American community across time and place, ALAS offers a wide range of activities to accomplish this mission such as an annual conference, social and cultural events, symposia, workshops, an online discussion forum, and a weekly newsletter.

ALAS Education across the Americas 8th Annual Conference: Registration now open!

ALAS Education across the Americas 8th Annual Conference:"Voices in Education: Bridging Learning Communities"

The Association of Latin American Students (ALAS) is pleased to host its 8th Annual Education Across the Americas Conference at Teachers College, Columbia University. We are currently soliciting proposal abstracts for presentations at the conference, scheduled for March 26th and March 27th 2010. Please visit our conferencepage for conference program updates.

ALAS 2010 Spring Party!

Come and experience Latin America with music, food, and salsa dancing! The party will be held on Thursday February 25th from 8pm to 12am in GDH 179. Salsa lessons will be given during the party by our well-known instructor, Cesar Vichido!
