Procedures for Columbia Business School Registration
There are a few notable changes to how the cross-registration process will work for this term.
1) The Business School is moving to a web-based cross-registration system for students. This website will permitstudents to see what is available to them and enter their cross-registration requests online beginningDecember 10th at 10:00 am. The deadline for students to submit their requests is January 9th. The Business School will look at all of the requests from all schools and will let the program know which student canregister for each course by January 14th. The program will then notify students via email by January 18th ifthey have or have not received permission for registration. If you have received permission, then you willneed to pick up an add/drop form and take it to the TC Registrar to register for the course:
2) Please go to http://www3.gsb.columbia.edu/crossreg where you will be prompted to login using your UNIandpassword. You will see an application form with instructions, along with the list of Business Schoolcourses you may request.
3) Business School courses begin on Wednesday, January 21st.
NOTE: Recent changes to the MBA Program have affected the number of seats available to cross-registrants. MBA students used to be limited to 16.5 credits per term, but with the tuition structure change in 2007-2008, MBA students can now take 18 credits for the flat rate. Many of the students take advantage of this credit increase. Additionally, the new core curriculum requires first-years to take two electives instead of one.
*** Please remember that charges for any business school courses you take go onto your TC account, but that they are more expensive per unit that TC courses. ***
