What is NYSTAP?

The New York State Technical Assistance Project (NYSTAP) Serving Children and Youth Who Are Deafblind is funded under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, IDEA, (P.L.101-476, 20 USC, Chapter 33, Section 1422 [2]) to provide technical assistance and training which serves children and youth who are termed deafblind.

NYSTAP will provide:

Technical Assistance to Staff in agencies and schools and to Families of children and youth who have sensory impairment

Assistance with diagnostic and evaluation services

Community Resource Referrals

In-Service Training

Program Consultation   

Family Support Services   

Assistance in Case Coordination

Transition Planning
