Susan L. Recchia is Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Program in Early Childhood Special Education at Teachers College, Columbia University . She serves as Faculty Co-Director of the Rita Gold Early Childhood Center , an inclusive and culturally responsive center for early education, professional preparation, research, and outreach. Her research interests include the role of social and emotional experiences in early learning, issues in inclusive early care and education, and early childhood teacher development.
