Upon first arrival, all CIES attendees should enter Teachers College through Zankel Building, 525 West 120th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue. Please bring a photo ID. Then, all CIES attendees should immediately go to Conference Registration in the Everett Lounge on the First Floor of Zankel Building to obtain CIES name-badge and conference materials.

Online registration for the CIES 2008 Conference at Teachers College closes on March 9th. Please click HERE. If you do not reach the on-line registration, copy and paste http://tinyurl.com/2abp72 into your browswer address bar.

After March 9th interested attendees can register on-site in the Conference Headquarters in Everett Lounge.

Persons who plan to attend the CIES 2008 Conference are recommended to obtain or renew membership in the Comparative and International Education Society. For membership information, click HERE. CIES Membership benefits include:

  • reduced CIES Conference registration rates;
  • an annual subscription to the Comparative Education Review;
  • subscription to the CIES Newsletter (3 times/year).

Membership in CIES is mandatory for all first presenters of papers at the CIES Conference. Institutional membership does not constitute individual membership.

We are keeping the same conference fees as the 2007 CIES conference in Baltimore. Gala Dinner tickets are $75 each. The Gala Dinner is scheduled for Thursday, March 20th at 7:30PM.
