The first session of panels will begin promptly at 8:30AM on Monday. The final session of panels will be on Friday at 10:30AM.

The Call for Papers officially closed on December 1, 2007.
Do I have to be a CIES member in order to attend the conference?
No. Non-members may register for the conference, although we strongly recommend that all attendees become members in CIES. Please refer to the Registration page for more information about CIES membership. Note, however, that you must be a CIES member if you have been accepted to present at the conference.
Will the conference be at a hotel? Where should I stay?
The conference will be taking place at the Teachers College campus. Unfortunately, TC does not have guest accommodations facilities. Please refer to the Accommodations page of this web site for information about hotel and housing options.
I am unfamiliar with riding the subway in NYC. Any tips?

I have a question about my CIES conference registration. Who should I contact?
Send your question in an email to cies_registration@umd.edu. The University of Maryland Convention and Visitors Services are handling registration, both online and on-site, as they did for CIES 2007.
I received the email notification of acceptance of my proposal, but I need an official letter of invitation for visa or funding purposes. Who should I contact?
Please email the CIES Secretariat at secretariat@cies.us with your request for this letter. Please include the title of your presentation. Note that you must be registered for the conference before the Secretariat can issue this letter to you.
I am a journalist/member of the media and would like to cover part of the CIES conference. Who can I contact for a press pass?
