Our Vision

CTSC is committed to using technology as a catalyst to transform teaching and learning in ways that are consistent with larger school improvement themes. The Center contributes to a growing professional knowledge base in technology use through research and evaluation activities. The Center also provides professional development which emphasizes practitioner leadership through the design of technology-infused projects and supports teachers through the change process.

Our Projects

CTSC works with districts to create projects that meet the needs of teachers and administrators. The professional development is situated in the classrooms of teachers with hands-on experiences. Using technology and a curriculum design process, facilitators help teachers identify essential questions related to specific content areas as a basis for developing a project.

Our Research

CTSC engages in partnerships with other institutions and programs to investigate the process of using technology in the classroom. The Center also evaluates a number of projects that use technology and conducts research on the impact of technology on the teaching practices of teachers. Reflecting on various approaches to technology integration contributes to the field and helps CTSC continue to improve its own practice.
