Ruaridh MacLeod 
PhD student in Philosophy and Education
Specialization: Ruaridh MacLeod is a PhD student in the Philosophy and Education program at Teachers College, Columbia University. His fields of specialization are in hermeneutics, 19th and 20th century continental philosophy, and the philosophies of time. Ruaridh previously taught both philosophy and English literature at High School level, and undertook psychoanalytic studies at University College London. He is an advocate for securing a place for philosophy as a distinct subject discipline within the school curriculum, and is interested in developing the means by which students can learn to apply a philosophical understanding to the problems of everyday life. He has a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Durham, and an MA (Distinction) in Continental Philosophy from the University of Warwick, UK.
