Writing Consultant PositionJob Description:
The Teachers College Graduate Writing Center is looking for dynamic and experienced doctoral and advanced masters' level students to fill part-time openings as writing consultants.
During one-on-one consultations, TC students have the opportunity to focus on any aspect of their writing with one of our qualified consultants. The types of assistance often sought by our clients are at both the micro and macro levels, including brainstorming, APA referencing, organizing, drafting, editing, writing coaching and instruction.
Position hours range from 5-10 hours per week. Qualified consultants should have hours during our hours of operation: Monday through Thursday, 2-8pm.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include working with TC graduate students in their academic and professional pursuits through writing development. Other tasks as assigned by the Writing Center Coordinator or Office Manager as needed.
Qualifications:
Must be a current TC/Columbia graduate student pursuing a doctoral degree. Advanced masters' level students will also be considered. Prior experience recommended. Applicants from all fields of study are welcome.
