Welcome

Our mission at AERI--promoting meaningful use of assessment and evaluation information around the world and across disciplines--was informed by our earliest project experiences.

Instituted in May, 2006, AERI began with a series of studies in upstate New York examining various facets of a community-schools partnership project which aimed to improve school readiness levels of young children comprehensively.  Almost concurrently, we were invited to develop a curriculum-based assessment system for a secondary level, global leadership curriculum in India, and evaluated pilot programs in four Indian high schools. Similar assessment development and validation projects followed in medical education and public health. In March of 2012, AERI hosted an inaugural conference and institute, with an expanded list of partners and sponsors, calling for "Conversations on Validity Around the World."
Our activities now encompass the four areas indexed below. Our partners today are international, multidisciplinary, and expanding.  Together, we continue to learn, innovate, and search for better solutions in educational assessment and evaluation. Come join us!
