OSP and Sponsor News, November 2009

  • As of 9/1/09, TC's new federal indirect cost rate is 69.1% of salaries
  • The new fringe rates for the current academic year are 34% for FT faculty, professional staff and PT professional staff positions.  The rate for interim, hourly, adjunct and RA/GA positions is 8.3%.
  • The budget template has been updated to reflect the new rates.
  • Grants.gov phasing out PureEdge for new Adobe Acrobat Reader forms.  Click on Grants.gov to the left for more information.
  • The Spencer Foundation has announced a deadline schedule for its Small Grant Program.  Deadlines for 2009 will be February 13, 2009; May 1, 2009; July 10, 2009; October 2, 2009; and December 4, 2009.  Spencer no longer accepts Small Grant proposals on a rolling basis.
  • Private Foundations with History of Support for TC Projects
  • New York City Department of Education RFPs and PQSs
  • Coming soon:  A portal is under development that will for the first time ever list all New York State Grant and Contracting opportunities on a single website.  Expected summer 09

Mary Tosch, Sponsored Project Administrator, 212-678-4187.  We are very pleased to announce Mary Tosch will be joining OSP's permanent staff, effective 11/2/09.  She will have responsibility for the following departments:

CCRC, A&H, CCP, C&T, CPET, CTSC, ITS, NCREST, OSCP, O&I, ICCCR, RWP


Natasha Guadalupe, Sponsored Project Administrator, 212-678-8199, also starts on November 2 and has responsibility for the following departments/centers:

CPRE, HBS, COOO, BBS, HD, CCF, ILT, MST, IUME, Huber, Hechinger
